Associate Marriage & Family Therapist

My name is Theresa Leri, and I focus on couples’ issues and co-parenting difficulties, the needs of children, as well as individuals struggling with life’s roadblocks. Together, we will navigate your journey. Each person brings their own individual set of needs and desires to the therapy room, and my approach is not a one-size-fits-all approach. I adjust and customize to your needs. I am training in the Gottman technique, a methodology that is a “research-based approach to relationships.” I have training in Play Therapy for children and have extensive training in ADHD and Executive Function issues. I am certified in Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and additionally, am pursuing EMDR certification to further assist trauma victims.
Let’s tap into your inner possibilities! Let’s navigate this together!

Associate Marriage & Family Therapist

My name is Cortni Alexander-Lewis, and I am now part of the My Niche Therapy Team as a (AMFT) Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I began my mental health career in the United States Navy, where I initiated a successful peer counseling program called Coalition of Sailors Against Destructive Decisions, focused on addressing suicide, drug abuse, and mental health issues among young Sailors. I received awards for this program and witnessed a significant decrease in DUI incidents. Subsequently, I joined the Department of Defense as a Confidential Victims Advocate, supporting military members in crisis situations such as domestic violence and sexual assault. I created programs and worked closely with the NCIS to assist victims throughout their legal process. Recognizing my passion for mental health, I pursued further education, obtaining an Associate’s Degree in Communication and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Western Washington University.

During this time, I also worked as a campus liaison for disabled Veterans, connecting them with resources and providing crisis intervention. Later, I pursued my Master’s Degree at the University of San Diego, where I completed clinical rotations in an Eating Disorders Center and as a Trauma Therapist for victims of domestic violence. After graduating, I served as a Confidential Victims Advocate at California State University of San Bernardino, supporting victims of sexual misconduct, domestic violence, and stalking during the student conduct process. I then worked at Kaiser Permanente as a lifespan therapist, providing comprehensive care to individuals of all ages. I am dedicated to my work as a therapist and remain passionate about making a positive impact in people’s lives.
